Who we are

SuperDiss ("we", "us") provides an online dissertation learning platform at superdiss.com. For any privacy question, contact hello@superdiss.com.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, and any name, institution or country you choose to provide.
• Your dissertation work: the content you enter into canvases, notes, drafts and saved attempts.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as device type and pages visited, used to keep the service working.
• Support correspondence: messages you send us.

Why we process it

• To provide the service and save your work across devices (contract).
• To respond to support requests (legitimate interests).
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
• To process subscription payments where you subscribe (contract).

AI processing

When you use the AI supervisor features, the text you submit is sent to a third-party AI model provider so that a response can be generated. Do not paste personal data about research participants, or confidential organisational material, into AI features.

Where your data is stored

Account data and saved work are held in our managed cloud database with access controls that restrict each account to its own records. Some processors may store or process data outside your country; where that happens, appropriate safeguards are applied.

Retention

We keep your account and work for as long as your account is active. Delete an attempt and it is removed; delete your account and we remove your personal data, except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

SuperDiss is intended for students in higher education and is not aimed at children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and change the date at the top.
